Musgrove House B&B is located just to the east of Chichester, a Roman city famous for its magnificent
Cathedral, and attractions such as the
Pallant House Gallery and the
Real Ale and Jazz Festival. We are a 10 minute direct walk to the city centre, and only about 15 minutes walk from the train station.
Chichester Festival Theatre with its many world famous shows (many of which such as Enron and Yes Minister, have transferred to London’s West End) is roughly a 20 minute walk from the house.
Gatwick and Southampton airports are within 45 miles of Chichester for visitors from abroad, and the train from London takes around 1hr 40.
Musgrove House Bed and Breakfast is perfectly placed for
Goodwood, being within 3 miles of the motor circuit where the Revival and Festival of Speed are held, and only 6 miles from the racecourse for
Glorious Goodwood and other racing events.
The surrounding area offers the South Downs National Park, beaches, castles, cathedrals, country houses, gardens and estates in the most beautiful settings. Nearby attractions include
Fontwell Races,
Fishbourne Roman Palace,
West Dean Gardens,
Weald and Downland Open Air Museum,
Arundel Castle, and
Bosham, a picturesque village with a stunning mediaeval church where King Canute’s daughter is supposedly buried.
